Hedman, the current WDF Women's Number 1, beat Laura Turner tin the final 5-4 after Turner missed match darts for the title.

Hedman progressed to the final with wins over Corrine Hammond in the quarter-finals before seeing off Hungary's Veronica Ihasz 4-0. Ihasz's progression to the semi-final stages sees her secure a spot at the 2022 WDF World Championships as the Eastern European qualifier.

Turner overcame challenges from Anastasia Dobromyslova in her quarter-final match, beating the three-time Women's World Champion 4-2, before winning 4-1 over home favourite Jitka Cisarova in the semi-final.

The outcome sees Turner move back into World Number 10 spot, whilst Hedman once again extends her lead at the top of the table.

With just 4 more ranking events left to play in Italy and Russia next weekend, the race is still on for the remaining few point to qualify for the World Championships. For those who haven't yet qualified, there are two remaining qualifier places available to play for - one in the UK and one in The Netherlands - for more information on how to enter visit www.dartswdf.com
