FRANCIS HOENSELAAR

#IWD2021

The first and, so far, sole female Dutch star to lift the Women's World Championships, Francis Hoenselaar featured in five World Championship finals before securing the title in 2009.

A three-time World Master and World Trophy Champion, Hoenselaar also featured in the 2009 PDC Grand Slam alongside Anastasia Dobromyslova.

Winner of the WDF World Cup, three-time Europe Cup Champion and a remarkable 11-times Antwerp Open Champion.

Hoenselaar officially retired from playing in July 2014, following a scooter accident in 2012 in which she sustained serious damage to her wrist.

Fan's were delighted when Hoenselaar recently appeared as part of the commentary team for RTL7 during the 2021 PDC World Championships.
