DETA HEDMAN

#IWD2021

A playing career spanning more than four decades, Deta Hedman really is a legend of the women's game.

A haul of over 215 titles, she is second in terms of tournament wins only to Phil Taylor, and this included a period where Hedman stepped away from the sport for several years, disillusioned by the rewards on offer in the women's game.

The winner of four BDO major's and the WDF World Cup Singles, Hedman is the current England Captain and boasts 55 caps for her country, with 48 wins.

An ambassador for England Youth Darts and the WDF Athletes Representative, Hedman has been a strong advocate for women's darts over the years.

Hedman made more headline's recently, when at the age of 61 she debuted at the 2021 PDC World Championships having qualified alongside Lisa Ashton at the PDC Women's Series.
